Another spectacular showing for 6M! I was up a couple hundred contacts
from last year, but down 15 grids. That's the result of long openings
to the Northeast US, with tons of contacts in a small number of grids.
True the band was open everywhere at some time, but I didn't have the
lengthy openings to the South and West to fill in as many grids as last
year. As Justin mentioned, early Sunday evening was incredible, with
consecutive contacts to all corners of the US and Canada.

My contact total was hurt by spending too much time on CW, but it's just
too much fun to have a pileup of serious CW contesters on 6M! It seems
great running them at 80-90 per hour, but then I go back to SSB where
they come 150-200 per....

No DX for me on 6. I did catch the Packrats W3CCX on 2M and heard a
couple more Es, but they wouldn't come back. We were a little too far
east for that opening.

I kept looking for the rovers on Saturday, but only really found Mel &
Carol. Thanks to them for much-needed Q's & grids! I did find W0ZQ at
his stops, finally caught up with WA0VPJ and KC0IYT later Sunday, and
got Bruce in a few grids. Without the rovers, there was not much left
on the bands above 6m. Conditions did seem good on 902 & 1296; I heard
everyone I was able to try with. Here are my results:

50	1073	244
144	46	20
222	28	17
432	29	17
902	15	10
1296	15	11
Total	1206	319	422,037

144 was down a bit from last year, 222 & 432 about the same, 902 & 1296
up nicely. Overall up about 55k. Great fun, but I look forward to
working more stations around the region in August and September!

73,
Paul W0UC
