All is ok here. Only one maple tree about 8inches in diameter had the top blown out of it. 902 and 1296 antennas are no longer aligned with the others ... will take care of that next day or 2.
Neighbor 100ft to to the south has the top 40ft of a balsum fir across the garage roof stretching from the ground to 10ft beyond the peak. The big end 8" or bigger.
1 inch of rain and the lake level went up to a new crest. (On top of the crest from the storms 10 days ago. 3ft over normal
summer level. Only seen it this high once before in the 38yrs here. The Mississippi runs in and out of our lake and there is a two dams on the Mississippi in the immediate area.
Well over 10,000 homes without power again. Several towns and many areas of Grand Rapids proper. Winds in the 60-80mph range with MANY MANY 30-36" dia trees UPROOTED and over houses, garages, power lines, cars etc. The ground is so wet from the 8 inches of rain in a one week period mid June. Many power poles snapped like matchsticks everywhere. Police are discouraging ANY travel in Grand Rapids unless NECESSARY.
One gust at 50mph according to my windspeed meter. It is at 45ft and the trees in the yard and forest to the west 75ft away are 25-50ft higher than that with the hill. We lost power but it was restored at 2:50am this morning. VERY lucky
It was fun to listen to the VE4MA 10GHz beacon for a few min before the front arrived. HUGE amount of lightning and several very close strikes. Yikes
