Hello NLRS land -
As you are probably aware, the Minnesota QSO Party is next Saturday, Feb 4, running from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. This really fun, really layed back operating event is sponsored by the Minnesota Wireless Association. You can find out all sorts of great information about this fun event at the MN QSO Party web page at www.w0aa.org/mnqp . The site contains downloadable paper forms as well as a free downloadable software logging program. Most major contest software logging programs support the MnQP. The contest exchange is easy ... its your name and your county, like "Jon, Ramsey". Stations inside of Minnesota will respond with the same, and if they are outside of Minnesota they will respond with their name and state, like "Pat in New York". There will be activity on HF and VHF, CW and phone. If you have ANY questions about this fun event, dont hesitate to drop me a note.
Per the attached email, Pat, K0PC, has been collecting what Minnesota stations will be active and from what county. If you go the the "Activity Map" link on the website, you can click on a county to see who will be activating it ... pretty fun stuff. If you plan to participate, please send your call sign and county to k0pc at arrl.net so that he can add you to this map.
I will be running mobile as W0ZQ/m, using W0ZQ-15 on APRS, in the following counties: Steele, Rice, Waseca, Blue Earth, Le Sueur, Nicollet, Scott, Sibley, Carver, and McLeod. I will be on 80, 40, and 20m CW from each, and will do some 20m SSB during the day. I will post a detailed plan later.
Good luck to eveyone whether you operate HF, VHF, or both. Get on, make some Q's, have fun, and lets put Minnesota on the RF map for the day!
73, Jon
W0ZQ/m

I would like to have all of the home stations that plan to operate MNQP
n the Activity Map. Many of you have already submitted your plans and I
hank you.
You can check to see if you're already listed by going to the Activity
ap page of the MNQP web site (www.w0aa.org/mnqp) and click on your
ounty. If your call isn't already listed please send me your operating
lans. Nothing detailed (or secret) just the modes you plan to use.
One week to go and the extended forecast looks favorable, above average
emps and dry.
