Hello NLRS land
I plan to operate my home station for much/most of the contest this weekend; 6m through 3456. If the weather continues to look "OK", I also plan to do a local rove on Sunday. Right now a small group of 10 GHz op's are looking to operate from Burnsville Parkway starting at 11:00 am. This is EN34is. Our first goal is to work Bill, K0AWU, on 10 GHz, then any and all stations on any and all bands after that. I'm not sure what bands I will have, I will not have my normal rover rack, but will instead be traveling light. I for sure will have 2m, 40 watts, and a 4 element yagi. In addition to that I will have 432 (20 watts) and 5760. I hope to also add 6m and 222, so maybe 6, 2, 222, 432, 5760 and 10GHz. After operating from EN34is, I will travel up to Ridgeway, EN35ja, to hand out that grid. There is a pretty good chance, weather permitting, that a few other "local rovers" will be doing the same with me, so watch for activity on 2m up around 144.235 at this time. Depending on activity, time, and the weather, I may run west to put on EN25 and EN24, but again my station will be small .... this part of the plan is TBD.
Good luck to everyone in the contest ... have fun, make some Q's, send in a log.
PS: When you log me as a rover, or when you log ANY rover, make sure to indicate the "/R". For example, W0ZQ/R. When the contesting robot checks logs, W0ZQ is not the same as W0ZQ/R. And yes, you can work me from my home station as W0ZQ and you can work me as a rover in EN34 as W0ZQ/R.
73, Jon
W0ZQ
