   Remember that the ARRL January VHF Sweepstakes are 
on the weekend of Jan 21-22.  Link to ARRL rules and info:

   I have made several new posts to kc9bqa.com that are helpful 
to newer VHF'ers.  For instance, my articles titled VHF 
Contesting School.  http://kc9bqa.com/?p=5609
   The articles are broken down into bite-sized pieces and are 
geared toward getting a novice VHF'er comfortable calling 
"CQ Contest".  Those articles have proven valuable in attracting 
new V/UHF contesters.  Consider passing them along to hams 
you think would be interested.  

    Declining participation in the Jan., Aug and Sept. V/U contests 
indicates we need to try harder.
