I think the bigger hazard is the broken glass, though voltage regulator 
tubes can contain a bit of a radioactive substance to make them fire 
more consistently. Probably don't want to break those open. Most of the 
metals in a tube otherwise, maybe not the getter deposit, are used in 
implantable electronics.
