Hello NLRS land -
The 2012 ARRL August UHF Contest results are in the most recent QST. Check out another fine contest write-up by John, K9JK. The extended article on the Leagues website features additional information not included in QST. A tip of the hat to Mr. JK for his excellent work & August UHF PR efforts.
Congratulations to the NLRS for finishing in 5th place out of 11 clubs in the Medium Club competition. Eleven NLRS members made some Q's and sent in their logs. Also congratulations to the following NLRS op's for their accomplishments:
* W0UC for 1st place in the nation, Multi-op. Nice job Paul ! Paul grapped 1st place using four bands; 222, 432, 902, and 1296.
* W0ZQ for a 7th place in the nation, SOHP using nine bands, 222 through 24 GHz (thanks Mike!)
* KC0P/R for a 7th place in the nation, Rover. If you exclude the California group, Mel finished in 3rd place.
* WA0VPJ/R for a 3rd place in the nation, Limited Rover.
* W0JT for 1st place in Dakota, SOLP. John had Q's on 222, 432, and 902.
I am looking forward to the 2013 UHF contest already and I hope that there may be a UHF+ transverter under your Christmas tree this year. 222 and 902 continue to show good growth .... check out the QSO data in K9JKs extended write-up that is online.
73, Jon
W0ZQ
