In Rochester we use 146.55 and 146.58 and 146.58 has been used near St.
Cloud because
when I ran the Tri-State simplex net on 146.58 from a remote base, I had to
 share the
freq with St.Cloud Thursdays at 8 PM.

Hello NLRS land -

As you are aware the ARRL has added the Single Operator Three Band and
FM-Only operating categories to the January, June, and September VHF contests.
Regarding the FM-Only operating category the League is seeking input via
their VUAC members as to suggested FM simplex frequencies.

The FM calling frequencies of 52.525, 223.5, 446.0 and 1294.5 are allowed
under the rules with the standard caveat of not monopolizing them. 146.52
is specifically not allowed due to the still-existing Wilderness Protocol
as referenced at the beginning of the ARRL Repeater Directory; it’s on p.23
of the 2012-2013 edition.

If you have some thoughts as to what FM frequencies would be good for
NLRS-land, please forward your suggestions along to me so that I can pass them
on to the League. I think 52.525, 223.5, and 446.0 are just fine for us,
and perhaps 146.46 .48 or ? Those who are more tuned in to the FM
community may have some suggested simplex frequencies to avoid?
