Has anyone else noticed that the Southeast VHF Society's "Fall"
Sprint for 50 MHz will be in the >>Summer<< this year?
I know that I gave some feedback that holding it at the end of
October seemed less than optimal and I am pretty sure that some
others did, too.
So, can you spare four hours this coming Saturday to dabble on
50 MHz? It seems sporadic-E has been very light recently (though
maybe Matt's catch of EL39 is a good sign?).
For us in the Central Daylight Time zone, the 'local' times are
3pm to 7pm, 2000 to 2400Z on Saturday, August 11. Traditional
scoring so only 4-character Grid exchanges required (SVHFS has
only adopted distance scoring for the Microwave/902 MHz & Up
Fall Sprint).
I will be "/R", but closer to home here in the Chicago area,
so not likely that I'll reach anyone up in the Twin Cities area.
I'd welcome a surprise (or several?), though.
73, JK
