Soapbox:
With the house remodeling, the rover rack is still pinned in the garage. I hope to get out for the September contest, a contest that I have not roved for a while as usually the August stuff burns me out. As we all know, the cold front came through on Friday night and basically wiped out propagation. While the cool dry air was a welcomed relief after the warm summer we've been having, its too bad it didn't wait a few more days for the contest to be over. So yes, it was not the usual Rovermania, but a big big BIG tip of the hat to KC0IYT/R, WA0VPJ/R, and the dynamic duo of KC0P/R & N0HZO/R for keeping the spirit alive and working hard to hand out Q's. Without these guys it would have been a REALLY tough contest. Best DX (??) was to K2DRH, EN41 up through 1296. We did try 2304 both Saturday night and again Sunday morning, but only weak dits and dahs were heard each way. Also worked W9ZIH in EN51 with a good signal on 432, but no go on 1296. Essentially, it was a pretty tough contest. Again, thanks to the rovers. I did do an EN34/35 mini rover on Sunday. A separate report on that log as W0ZQ/R in a day or two.

73, Jon
W0ZQ
