Its been pointed out that I should have mentioned that your system will require
POWER; i.e., it has to OPERATE in RECEIVE MODE, so you'll also need to bring a
battery for the transverter and pre-amp (if present). Again, you don't need the
i.f. radio, just the output of the transverter (either 28MHz or 144MHz).
Sorry for any confusion.
