The antenna range will have a new feature this year. (As always, weather
permitting ! )
Barry, VE4MA, has volunteered to provide equipment and expertesse to
do sun noise measurement on 10GHz, and possibly 5.6 and 24GHz as well.
To have your system measured, you need to bring your SYSTEM
(transverter, antenna, and a stable mounting -- NO hand-holding the antenna).
Barry
will need (EASY !) access to the transverters' 144MHz or 28MHz i.f. output. You
do NOT need to bring
the i.f. radio, just the microwave bits.
The emphasis will be on 10GHz... but he may get to do 5.6 and 24GHz as time
allows. Barry won't be doing 3.4GHz and below. Sorry.
The range starts at 0900, and we'll finish up promptly at 12 noon. Afternoon
sessions start at 1300.
