Hi folks;

While at work yesterday, I was closely monitoring the DX logger, and saw that the 50 meg band was opening up to the south, plus some AU was being spotted. I had to 'chase' my customer (Rockwell) out the door at the end of the day, and then jetted home. Got by the radio at about 5 PM, and heard HC1HC absolutely pounding in S9, with a huge pileup. I started calling him, but he kept going downhill until faded about 5:15. I see that the W9s south of me were working him, and it is interesting that W9JN heard nothing from the HC1. I guess I was on the northern edge. I heard one of the 9Y stations weak for a few minutes. I turned north and heard several beacons via AU. I then had a quick bite of dinner, and shot out the door for the GMDXA meeting down in Milwaukee, with W9XT carpooling.

This was the first true F2 heard in the new cycle, and I hope this in a harbinger of things to come.

I will be on for the 222 sprint, and will probably get to the radio by about 7:30 PM (0030Z) I will quick look for JK and BZK, then look for the other BCers and NLRSers after that.

I do plan to use the logger, but see that will invalidate the log. EHH!
