Hello NLRS-land
Our friends at the NWS are calling for a 40% chance of rain tonight and a 50% chance tomorrow, low of 42 and a high of 52, with north winds 10 to 15 mph. Its not looking good for the outside antenna range. Its up to the antenna range guys to determine if they want to call it or not, and it may require waiting to see what it looks like Saturday morning. The antenna range is schedule to start at 9:00am, a break for lunch, and the inside programs starts at 1:00 pm.
Following Aurroa'11, the 6m Sprint is Saturday evening from 2300z May 14 to 0300z May 15. Contest exchange is six digit Maidenhead grid locators. Full rules at http://sites.google.com/site/springvhfupsprints/2011-announcement-rules .
And finally, while doing some research on a different project, I came across a website that may be of interest to rovers and portable uW op's. The website is Peakbagger.com and I have just started to explore it. This part, http://www.peakbagger.com/list.aspx?lid=13407 , is a list of the highest point in all 87 MN counties .... scroll to the very bottom of this page to see a map of all these high spots. There is also a search capability at http://www.peakbagger.com/Search.aspx where you can enter a lat/long to find peaks near that location. I have just had a few minutes to play with this website, but it looks interesting.
