On my Texas map, Kerrville is about 60 miles NW of San Antonio which is
definitely southerly in Texas West SW of Austin. San Antonio is the same
latitude as Del Rio and a little south of Houston. Practically the same
latitude as Galveston. I think Kerrville is definitely in Texas Hill
Country. About 120 miles from Mexico. Topo 4 says 1100 feet higher than
Austin and 1000 feet higher than San Antonio, but 300 feet lower than
locations north and west of Kerrville.
