[NLRS] August Contest

Hi Chris,

For starters, I want to say that it's good to hear about your wife's
recovery. That must be a huge blessing.

Glad that you're getting back into radio. I had to completely sit out the
June contest and also Field Day. That hurt! But I am pushing hard to keep
the August contest inviolate on the calendar.

My personal goal is to be QRV on 222, 432, 902, and 1296. The first two are
easy--already have those. The second two are within reach, but will require
sustained effort between now and then.

The plan currently is for Christopher (KC9JTL) and me to rove from La Crosse
to the Twin Cities and back. So we'd start from Granddad Bluff, hit the new
grid in Rochester, then hit a new grid that evening in the Cities, then
reverse the whole thing going home.

I hope there will be a spreadsheet available to see other peoples' plans.
What I'd really like to see is another multi-op from Buck Hill for that
contest, with rovers fanning out all around. Anybody up for taking on that
challenge?

I can't help you with the details about SMA connectors, but I'll bet
somebody else will chime in on that. Welcome back to radio and maybe we'll
work you from EN43 in August.

73,

David W9HQ
