Rodney,
What did you use for logging software? Many logging programs store data in a database nowadays, so if you logged it you have to try really, hard to completely remove it from your computer. For example, N1MM has a "DELETEDQS" database that is the graveyard for anything you delete from the log. I'm sure many of the other tried and loggers others have similar mechanisms.

Subject: [NLRS] kd0ebt Needs Help with Log recovery
Hello all, my name is Rodney, kd0ebt. I need some help with recovery of contacts
from Saturday's portion of the VHF contest.
My logger somehow lost all the info. Not sure how yet as I looked through it
last night after I closed my station down and it was fine then.
If I made a contact with you yesterday (6/11) could you please send me your
call, time and grid again.
Also if anybody had some suggestions on how I can find some qso info from the
stations "4" stations during that awesome openiing yesterday evening. I also
got some qso's from western Canada on 6.
Maybe I am just out of luck.
73'
Rodney, kd0ebt
