The highlight of the contest was working K2YAZ in EN74 on 902 and 1296
at a distance of 218.8 miles - a new distance record on both bands for
my fledgling UHF/microwave station. ( worked Bob on all bands 50-1296 )

Second highlight was working W9FZ/R in EN64 all bands 50-1296 and again
in EN54 on 50-432.

Third highlight was working VUCC in a week-end.

DX stations: YN2PR, CO0OM, CO2OJ, XE2WWW.

What did I miss?
- A couple of hundred more contacts on 6M ( spent too much time "hunt &
pouncing", should have "run a frequency" earlier ).
- Lots of the "local area" rovers, my apologies to you, ( spent too much
time on 6M ) I'll do better next time.
- Lots of the "local area" stations on 144-1296 bands, ( spent too much
time on 6M ) again I'll do better next time.

What did not happen?
- No intercontinental contacts
- No VE contacts, no VEs heard here in WI ( very odd, heard plenty of
W5s & W7s working VEs )
- No HI or AK stations heard in WI ( needed for WAS )
- Mid-Atlantic stations were not heard here in WI ( worked Maine to
Florida to California to Oregon - sans the W2s & W3s )

My 49,612 score was my best showing ever, but I know I can do better
because I see many other SOLP scored in the 80K+ range. I'm still
fairly new to VHF/UHF/microwave contesting, so I'm learning and I look
forward to next time.

Hope to contact you all in the CQWW VHF, ARRL UHF, ARRL September, and
Fall Sprint contests.
