Good Morning,
I apologize for the delay. I will have a more formal announcement out
in the next couple of days with more detail. Once I have the detail
worked out, I will update the spreadsheet. Thank you for maintaining a
great resource out here in the Midwest/Central States.
I am still finalizing my route. My current plan is to start near the
EN33/43/32/42 grid intersection on Saturday. From there I will travel
down to start activating the EN31/41/30/40 corners. Sleep and then on
Sunday finish EN30/40 and move on to EM39/49/48/38. From there I will
travel across Missouri and end the contest in EM28 and EM29.
This is my first rove in the Central states (IA and MO), I am going with
a Run and Gun style and have no idea as to schedule. I think activating
6 grids on Saturday and 8 on Sunday is fairly doable. If anyone has
suggestions on good operating spots along Eastern Iowa, Eastern
Missouri, I would be very appreciative. I hope to spend the next couple
of evenings on Google Earth and DeLorme Tropo.
I will have APRS running in the rover during the contest. I am going out
as a Limited Rover with 6-432 SSB/FM. Still no CW but hopefully someday.
I will have a more formal announcement out in the next few days. And I
will get my information up on the Activity spreadsheet. I promise more
to follow!
Thanks and 73!
