Hi Folks;

I did manage to get on this past weekend for the CQ VHF test. I actually got on Friday night, and managed to get Bruce W9FZ in a couple of counties.

I did not operate full time, again, for this test, many projects going on. Caught W9FZ/r in most of his stops for a few more counties, and grid mults.

I started to get a whopper of a sore throat and cold on Saturday, and packed it in about 10:30PM, ran again on Sunday, off and on, but quit about 3 PM. Bands were open later, and added some nice 6 M DX QSOs, but was ailing the whole time, coughing and hacking.

With regard to the tropo, I seemed to be on the edge of the openings to the west, with better than normal levels out of Iowa. I could not hear anything of the W4 stations that W9RM was working to the south. Best DX was a QSO on 144 with W3SO in FN00, which took CW to get his attention.

6 can usually get good, but only managed to open sporatically on Sunday.

50 meg	103Q	48g
144meg	 69Q	36g

Totals	172q	84g	for a claimed score of 20244 pts
