Happy New Year to all on this list,
Here's the weekly reminder that tonight is 222 Tuesday. It's a
general USA/VE activity night for this under-used band. No net
control, no single area of focus. Get on, call CQ, swing beams,
see who all is out there. Most guys have been getting on about
7-8pm their local time. Don't hesitate to put out a few calls on
223.500 FM. That's one way to potentially attract new ops to
the SSB/CW side.
Help spread the word about 222 Tuesday in your area.
The Wed. night long-range 2m SSB nets are on tomorrow
night, and so far, we'll have KA0KYZ from EN33 on 144.230,
starting at 0045Z (looking east, then going clockwise) and myself,
from EN63 on 144.240, starting at 0100Z, looking north and
going clockwise. All are welcome; only purpose is to increase
activity on the bands.
As always, expanded information is available at kc9bqa.com.
Think of it as your VHF newspaper for a wide area of the Midwest
and Great Lakes. Read the paper a few times each week, and
you're all caught up.

PS: W0UC, appreciate you doing the Google spreadsheet
for the Jan. contest again. How much do you want me to spread
the word? I'd like to share the spreadsheet with my weekly email
radio contacts and on kc9bqa.com but it means that some ops in
other parts of the country will post their plans even though they will
be beyond tropo range.
Pls let me know what you'd prefer.
I could say on my website that we'd rather have other parts of
the country create their own Google spreadsheets... Thoughts?
