I email in about 15-20 directions each week, promoting regular
V/UHF activity. It's possible some of you have heard about the
big aurora potential (X-class flare last evening -- the first X-class in
4 years) and if so, I apologize for the repeat.
1) Heads up and get on the air for the big aurora expected today
thru perhaps Thursday. Monitor your sources of aurora info, and
enjoy the enhancement. Share what you're working with the
real-time VHF/UHF chat at on4kst.com. You want the "IARU
Region 2 chat for 144-432 MHz" Full sign-up instructions are at:
http://kc9bqa.com/?p=3765 Use this chat anytime -- it's for all
USA/VE hams on 144 MHz and up.
2) 222 Tuesday is ON every Tuesday evening. Nationwide
activity night. Most guys have been getting on about 7-8pm their
local time. No net control or single area of focus. Get on, call CQ,
swing beams. It's as good as each 222 op makes it, please help
spread the word.
3) Our long-range Wed. 2m nets are ON tomorrow night.
KA0KYZ on 144.230 from EN33, starting at 0045Z, looking east
first and then moving clockwise.
KC9BQA on 144.240 from EN63, starting at 0100Z, looking north
first and then moving clockwise.
Enjoy the warmer weather and better propagation,
73,
Todd KC9BQA EN63ao 40 N of Milwaukee
