Hi James!
I'll look for you, might be possible from Wisconsin with just a bit of
enhancement.
I've got a good "long distance to the horizon" path to my west.

Subject: [NLRS] KK6MC/r in UHF Contest
After fits, starts, and some detours, I am in EN14 (Brookings, SD) with my
Dad, WA0OML. I will rove in the UHF contest tomorrow. The route is a bit
uncertain, but I will probably go east to start near the EN14/EN24 border,
then head north to EN15 and EN25. If I still feel hardy, I will head further
north to EN16 and EN26, then back to Brookings. Sunday I will head south to
EN13/EN23 and EN12 and EN22 if there is time. Sunday morning seems to go
fast in the UHF contest. Of course, these places and times are subject to
change.
Here is the setup
222 MHz TS-2000X IF XV222 transverter KLM Amp 100W, WA5VJB 6 element Yagi
432 MHz TS-2000X 50W we have a 50W limit in NM. I have a 100W amp, but am
so used to not using it, I left it at home, 10 element WA5VJB Yagi
1296 MHz TS-2000X 10W 11 element WA5VJB Yagi.
Antennas are at 10 to 12 feet in motion and I raise them to 15 feet when
stopped. I think that is tall enough to get over the tall corn.
The 902 MHz transverter did not arrive in time.
I am uncertain of protocol in this part of the country, but I will monitor
432.1 MHz for activity while in motion, then pull off if I hear activity. If
the calling frequency is busy, I will move up to 432.110. Does anyone
I don't have full time internet access here, only when I can get to a public
access, so if you reply, I may not get it right away.
I am looking forward to roving in this part of the country and being part of
the famous Rovermania! - Duffey
