[NLRS] Important matter for VHFers

There has been some recent literature on the net about subghz broadband that someone will likely make a case for in certain countries.

While that line of thought about interference may be valid now, it is may not a suffice in long term.

Amateur emergency communications in event of a disaster is a long term need. While 2m may work for voice, moving video or bulk packet data a reasonable distance is a very good reason to keep the existing spectal allocations. 2.4 ghz with green foliage after a natural disaster isn't going to work too well.

An alternative strategy would to require spectrum recipients to provide service at no cost in any declared disaster area indefinitely and sufficient backup power and other requirements to make it utterly unattractive.

I just downloaded a copy of that letter. It's a great letter. I probably
won't just sign it and send it; I'll retype it with revisions of my own.

Has anyone pointed out in a letter to their Congressman that this spectrum
is also assigned to radio amateurs in many other countries and that there is
likely to be interference from radio amateurs in Mexico, Canada, etc?
