Unusually bad WX conditions for late April here in Wisconsin. We had ice,
rain, sleet, pea sized hail, high winds, snow and thunderstorms all at the
same time! Antenna ice caused high VSWR, wind moved the yagi around,
lightning static on 222 was the worst I've ever heard. Had to shut down
twice for passing electrical storms ( thunder-snow in this case ).
Still managed to work into Minnesota, Indiana and Illinois.
Best DX was with K0SIX in Big Lake, MN = 277 miles. Worked several other
NLRS stations. Thanks!
My equipment: FLEX-5000 SDR and Downeast Microwave transverter into single
longboom M2 yagi at 60 feet.
