Same deal as last week -- you have KA0KYZ EN33 on
144.230, starting at 8pm. Terry won't look farther north into MN
until probably 8:15pm or later, give or take how busy he is off to
his south.
I'm on 144.240 at 8pm, but I don't look W or NW until at
least 8:45-9:00pm. I also don't have nearly as good a path into
MN as WB9LYH does.
I realize nets don't interest a lot of you. I hope we all want
more activity on the weak-signal bands, though.
Just think of Wed. as a busy night for 2m activity in a very wide
area of the Midwest and Great Lakes. We've been trying for 26
months, trying to get guys on the air and bring back those "good ol'
days" all the veterans talk about.
Even if you don't enjoy a net, then get on the 2m band and
call CQ for a while. On Wed. nights at least, you should hear
activity. We're always encouraging our check-ins and anyone else
to "spread out" and call CQ in various directions. If this happens,
then VHF is greatly improved.
Also -- try the real-time VHF/UHF chat at www.on4kst.com.
It's free, no B.S. and available for *all* USA/VE hams anytime,
day or night. The on4kst.com chat is very active on Wed. nights.
Stop by tonight and use the room to make more Q's on the air.
You want to choose the IARU Region 2 Room for 144/432 MHz
**EFFECTIVE NEXT WEEK, SEPT 29th THE 144.240 NET
WILL START AN HOUR EARLIER UNTIL NEXT SPRING.**
