[NLRS] September Contest Activity Levels

Since Jon "invited" the data...here it is:
In recent years (that is, since 2002, where the ARRL Contest
Results Database starts), the September Log Submission counts
have been pretty steady, varying about +/- 14% from the average
(552) over those eight years. While 2008 was a 'dip' (only 482
Logs, the lowest count among this sample), there were 594 logs
submitted in 2009, above the average. 2005 was a recent 'peak'
with 629 logs. Maybe longer trends look different but I don't
see these numbers as a 'down' trend...the increase from 2008 to
2009 is the most positive one year change among this data.
Here are the total Log Submission counts I have from 2002
through 2009 for September:
