All,
My first QSO Party with five bands...
50 MHz = 30 QSO x 1 = 30 Grids = 16
144 MHz = 35 QSO x 1 = 35 Grids = 20
222 MHz = 16 QSO x 2 = 32 Grids = 10
432 MHz = 16 QSO x 2 = 32 Grids = 9
1296 MHz = 8 QSO x 3 = 24 Grids = 6
Score.......QSO Points 153 x Grids 61 = 9333
I was frequently looking and calling to the West, SW, & NW...
NLRS stations I worked:
K9MU EN44 50, 144, 222, 432
KB9PJL EN44 50, 144
KA0KYZ EN33 50, 144
W0UC EN44 50, 144, 222, 432
W0VB EN34 144
Interesting discrepancy...
I was able to contact all surrounding states except Iowa. Heard nothing
from Iowa, heard no other stations working an Iowa station. What's up
with no VHF/UHF activity from Iowa? There was plenty of activity in
June and July. First time that I've noticed that in the last five ARRL
contests and last two CQ VHF contests.
Looking ahead...
I hope to add 902 and 2304 MHz for next time ( January '11 ??? )
Also hope to improve my existing bands by:
1. Pre-amps ( <1db noise )
2. Increasing power ( to maximum SOLP figures )
3. Larger antennas on 50, 144, 222.
Hope to work many more NLRS stations in the coming months and years.
