I was north bound with the VW that I had up north for 10G+ last year and
for Aurora.
There are some good sites over north of Boone, and just east of
Ellsworth (Exit 133) near here I not live. I'm still paying rent at
Gilbert, but hope this is the last month, if I get the rest of the stuff
moved out.
N0DQS likes the EN 31,32,21,22 corner. Its in the middle of a section SW
of Boone, SE of Ogden so you can't get to the corner, but its just a
mile between grids and there are roads all the way around that section.
I think its about 2 miles south of US30 and not in the river bottom.
Ames Airport beacon I think sits exactly on 42 degrees north. If its not
exactly on the line its within 100 feet of the line.

It should be easier on 2 than on 432, the 2m beam won't have the front
to back or the directivity of the RIW on 432.

WB0BQV is in Gilbert. He's not been in a VHF contest.
