My initial thought is an anomaly - a glitch- the VHF FM Broadcast Band spectrum monitor waterfall at
http://maestro.haarp.alaska.edu/data/spectrum2/www/vhfH.html
has the same signal at about 0240.
Same with the Spectrum Monitor VHF Waterfall Chart at
http://maestro.haarp.alaska.edu/data/spectrum2/www/vhf.html
However, its interesting to see the NCDXF Beacon chart at
http://maestro.haarp.alaska.edu/data/spectrum2/www/beacon14.html
as there is no band at 0240, but there was an increase in signals from the beacons from some SA countries.

Subject: [NLRS] Unusual burst on HAARP spectrum monitor
I'm posting this here because whatever this was appears to have peaked in
he VHF part of the spectrum. Take a look at the HAARP spectrum monitor for
oday:
http://maestro.haarp.alaska.edu/data/spectrum2/www/hf.html
If you're seeing this later than May 26, you'll need to look in the archives
or May 26. That band at approximately 0240Z on May 26 appears to be very
roadband but looks like the peak is above 30 MHz. Notice the peak at the
ame time on the HAARP VHF riometer:
http://137.229.36.30/cgi-bin/riometer/riom2_sel.cgi
AND on the induction magnetometer:
http://maestro.haarp.alaska.edu/cgi-bin/scmag/disp-scmag.cgi
Several people who monitor Schumann resonances in the ULF range noticed
imilar disturbances in the Schumann resonance at the same time, in various
laces in the USA not close to Alaska.
Anyone have any insight as to what this was or might be? Anyone notice any
nusual propagation conditions at this time? There was evidently no solar
lare at that particular time.
I'm puzzled but very interested.
