Special thanks to WB0LJC for contacts on 10 GHz and 144 MHz on Saturday
and K0AWU on 144 and 432 MHz SSB and CW.

KC0P and WA0SSN started the 10 GHz demo at 2:30 PM Sat from EN33pw
to WB0LJC at Flying Cloud EN34gt with about eight people watching. When
nothing heard in 10 minutes, the crowd was down to four. At 20 minutes I
finally
found Gary in frequency, only 4 KHz off nominal. Now to peak his weak
signal
up with better AZ and El. It didn't get any better, so we settled for a
weak CW
contact. I must have been really weak to Gary. Guess the mid day depression
included our 2:30 to 3 PM run. First 10 GHz contact made from that Field
Day
site. We are working over a small ridge about 1/2 mile away. It was fun to
make
this difficult contact at 71 miles.

Sunday brought no six meter opening, so just brute force stuff. Managed to
work
K0AWU on first 144.200 SSB and CW with one other looking on. Then Bill
called
on 2m to say he was hearing my 432 while I was working WG0D near White Bear
so I called Bill on 432.170 CW with 559 signals, and then worked him with
at
least 33 on SSB with KD0GTJ looking on. So a good demo of what can
sometimes
be done and real fun on this end. Thanks for being there and toughing it
out.
