Saturday I activated the EN44/43/33 grid corner near St. Charles while on Sunday I activated the EN35/25/24/34 area.  June isnt my favorite contest for roving because 6m is often hot, and when it is everyone is up on 6m like a HF contest. Also, as a rover, its harder to get an effective signal on 6m, so you get beat up a lot. So enough complaining. 

First off, many thanks to the guys who found me from all, or most of my stops, including W0GHZ, N0AKC, W0UC, N0KP and K0AWU. Had some nice CW contacts with K0AWU on 902, 1296 and 10 GHz. 902 rocks (I'm just running 20 watts), and signals are better on 10 gigs than many of the other bands.  If you are looking to add a band, think about 902.  

This was the maiden contest for the new "Rev B" rover rack - some of you may have seen it at Aurora. It features a rotator, so I had some learning to do with it. The good news is that it makes finding a parking spot a lot easier as I don't have to keep moving the car to point - makes it a lot easier to check in different directions much more quickly.  Rev B was bug free .... except for the bugs plastered to the front of it.  With the antennas pointing backwards, I actually worked K0AWU (EN37) while in motion and driving south bound in EN24 on 2, 222, 432, 902, and 1296 - this is why no 10gig attempt from EN24 Bill - hard to drive and hold the dish !
 

 
With the stink-o weather conditions, not much DX to report on. I did link up with KC9BQA on three bands from the nice spot in EN35ad, and I heard some guys in EN73 on 222, but could not raise their attention. K2DRH was easy to work up through 3456 from EN44, but other than that the high band conditions were poor.  I think this may be my second best June contest score.
