Personally this is a low key effort for me. But it has been a wild ride so
far!
6 Meters has been open to the SE and south with a weak opening to the SW
most of the day. The quality is there but not the quantity. On a personal
note, I worked two new DXCC on the band and I got 4 of the 6 grids I need
to finish my worked all EM grid squares. But this wasn't the highlight thus
far.
While on 6 meters, Justin K9MU alerted me that strange things are happening
with very short skip on 6m about 0115z. We both went to 144.200 to find
N9HF in EL99 with great Es signals. I worked 4 EL grids in Florida (99, 98,
97,96) on 2m for all time new grids and state on 2m. Wow! It was open for
about 20 minutes but the mayhem around 200 really limited the rate.
Things weren't done yet, EM50 and EM60 were heard as well as EL88 and EL89
but not worked around 0220z with much weaker signals than the EL9x grids
earlier.
What will Sunday bring? :-)))))

A neutron walks into a bar and asks the bartender how much
for a drink?
The bartender says,'for you no charge'
