[NLRS] 144.240 Long-Range SSB net *ON* -- 8pm tonight

    Good morning,

WB9LYH is *ON* 144.240 tonight, at 0100Z/8pm central,
starting out looking NE into the U.P. of MI and then swinging
clockwise a full 360 from there.

So look toward the middle of WI (EN54cl) on 144.240 and
see what kind of conditions we have tonight. Also realize we
encourage everyone to do their own CQ'ing on 144.230 or lower.
A big part of why we push this is to make 144 MHz SSB come
alive across a multi-state area every Wed. evening.

20-30 guys working one net control briefly is nice. 20-30
guys from multiple states calling CQ in different directions is what
*really* makes a band come alive.

I expand on this idea in a website post I just made. It's at
kc9bqa.com if you are interested.
If you haven't tried the www.on4kst.com real-time chat for
IARU Region 2 144/432 MHz, it's time to do so. We have a
lot of fun in there Wed. night, helping to coordinate activity across
a wide area. Even if all you want to do is lurk, spend some time
there and see all the potential.

    Thanks, 73,
