The Minnesota QSO Party is Saturday, Feb 6, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm CST.
There will be a ton of HF activity, both CW and SSB - you can operate one
mode or mixed mode. Hopefully there should be some activity on VHF as well
- remember that any station can submit both a VHF log (6m and up) as well
as a HF log. Full rules are at _http://w0aa.org/mnqp.htm_
(http://w0aa.org/mnqp.htm) or ask me !

As there is a club competition, make sure to put Northern Lights Radio
Society on your log - last year we had the highest log count of any MN club and
place second overall - not too shabby for a weak signal VHF club ! You
can enter electronic logs or paper logs.

As this IS the Minnesota QSO Party, it would be a great opportunity to
activate our club call, W0AUS. You can be a fixed station or a mobile
station, HF, VHF, or both, and use the club call. If you are interested in using
W0AUS simply drop me a note to let me know as I an its trustee. And yes,
we have W0AUS QSL cards - they are currently at the printers.

Last, lets blow the snow off those VHF transverters and make some noise
next weekend in the ARRL January VHF contests - its January 23 (1900 UTC) to
January 25 (0359 UTC).

73, Jon
W0ZQ
