Hello all,
Christopher (KC9JTL) and I plan on operating the whole contest from our home
station in EN43oq. We'll have 50 though 440 MHz. Antennas will be only
slightly upgraded from last year, but I think we'll be on the air for more
hours. I did just order an amplifier for 222 MHz, so we should have an
improved footprint on that band.
Also, locally I have started promoting two Activity Hours for La
Crosse/Richland Center/Sparta/Tomah/Winona, from 7 to 8 pm on Saturday and
Sunday evenings during the contest. I hope that some local hams will at
least get on 2 meter FM simplex for those times and then hopefully we can
spread out and hit 6 meters, 440 FM, or whatever folks have. So especially
if you have some vertically polarized gain, you may wish to look toward this
area on 146.55 or 146.58 MHz FM during those times.
I hope we can work you all during the contest!
73,
David W9HQ
