Hi,

I just got back from a long day at the hospital and every day finds CJ doing
more and more things. He is completely "unhooked", except for a portable
monitor thingy, so that makes getting up and down, in and out of bed, so
much easier. I went down to rehab with him this morning and the therapist
had him walking on the treadmill and doing the reclining bike and then he
managed to walk back to the room.  He said he slept quite well last night
except for the usual disturbances to check his vitals.  He is able to get up
to the bathroom and tomorrow they said he can take a shower, which should
really feel good.  He had needed a haircut before he went into the hospital
and now, lying around all day, he looks a little bit like Dagwood!  We
didn't talk to any doctor today, though CJ said the Physician Assistant
stopped by before I got there this morning, so we don't know when he will be
discharged, but we hope it will be Tues. rather than Wed.  When he was in
therapy there was another patient there who had the same procedure done, on
the same day, and the therapist told us later that CJ is doing so much
better in his capabilities that she really didn't like to have the two guys
there at the same time, as the other man would feel badly about not being
able to do as much.
