  What horrid news. John was always a friendly voice and a dependable contest operator out of EN45. My electronic logs only go back to 2001 and he was there then. Pat and I are out of state and this is sure bad news from "back home". I will miss John but I know not nearly as much as those of you closer in distance where the QSOs were more frequent. 6m tropo will certainly be much quieter. 

  So sorry to hear of this passing of another NLRS club member. RIP
