Letting everyone know that I'm starting to talk up the
ARRL Jan. VHF Sweepstakes a little bit, when I email to
the 15-20 groups that I contact each week. That info is
in the last paragraph.

The rest of the standard 2m net announcement follows.

   Tonight we have:
   144.230 @ 0045Z or 6:45pm central/7:45pm eastern
KA0KYZ Terry in EN33 -- southeast Minnesota.
Starts out looking east, goes clockwise a full 360.

   144.240 @ 0100Z or 7pm central/8pm eastern
KC9BQA in EN63, 40 miles north of Milwaukee.
Starts out looking north, goes clockwise a full 360.

All are welcome to listen along or say hello. The purpose is to
create more activity on less-used portions of 2 meters. Please
help us spread the word and keep the airwaves alive.

If you want more detail, it's always available at kc9bqa.com.
For instance, we want all amateurs with 2m and/or 6m to know
that the next busy VHF contest is on the weekend of Jan. 22-23,
2011, the ARRL January VHF Sweepstakes. Check my
website for more info.
