Hi Ed,
Do a Google search for LPRO-101 and you'll find all sorts of sites with info
on it. Here is the manual:

Don't worry that it doesn't say Efratom - it's the same thing.
You have to power it up with 24 volts and measure the lamp voltage to get an
idea of life left. I've been told that any lamp voltage below 3 volts means
it's getting close to the end of its life. I got one a couple years ago and
the lamp voltage is 6.4 volts, which indicates a lot of life left in it.
