Hi Ed.

Regarding elections, they happen every two years per our by-laws.
Elections occur at the "annual business meeting" which is Aurora. This happens
whether we wish it to happen or not.

Last year (at Aurora 2009) the club decision during the business meeting
was to hold Aurora on May 22, 2010, but before we could lock down that date
at our conference site a wedding was scheduled ahead of us. So its good
news for the couple to be, bad news for us in that we lost our desired date.
I then made an executive decision to hold it on May 15 fully aware that it
is the Dayton weekend. For those who complain, elections are open - also,
per our By-laws, "Current members not present at a given meeting may
convey written proxies to the Secretary regarding any votes to be taken at that
meeting. Such proxies shall be considered as "current members present" for
the purpose of a quorum" - so a proxy vote is acceptable if we have a motion
to act on.

Over the last few years we have had numerous discussions as to the best
date for Aurora - recently we did move from April to May because the last few
Aprils the weather (snow) canceled the antenna range not to mention the
difficult travel, so we move forward a month to look for better weather.

Looking at May 2011, I would suggest that we consider May 21 as Dayton
2011 may be the weekend of May 14 (???) The problem that we run into is that
if that date is not available (May 21), one weekend back is Dayton and one
weekend forward is Memorial Day (which is May 30 for 2011).

I am open to ideas as to dates.

73, Jon
