[NLRS] 2009 August UHF Write-Up (was: 10GHz Contest Write-up - 2009)

Tail-ending Jon's message regarding 10 GHz...

I've definitely NOT been voted off the island and WILL be 
writing the Results article for this year's UHF Contest.

A few of you have already responded to my prior invitations and 
mentioned interest in writing something and, just as Jon 
indicates, while QST space is limited (and I DID TRY to lobby 
for an extra page for the initiation of Club Competition since 
that should and will be in the QST Article, probably at least 
1/4 of a page, maybe more), the space for the "web report" is 
"unlimited" (though I suspect there really IS a limit...but I'd 
love to try and PUSH to see if the limit can be reached).

I am supposed to receive the "adjudicated" results with Sean's 
final "massage" and blessing in about two weeks (though I'm 
hoping it will be sooner). Several paper logs have been entered 
so this will be a more thoroughly checked UHF Contest as well as 
having crossed the 200 log threshhold so thanks again to all of 
the NLRS members for being a SIGNIFICANT part of that with, 
basically, ONE of every EIGHT logs submitted being "from" an 
NLRS member.

So...while I'd ALSO welcome "new" interest in anyone prepping a 
sidebar article, this is a reminder for those of you with whom 
I've already had some exchanges regarding possible sidebars. 
Target submission date is October 16th (though earlier will be 
appreciated and a slight bit of latitude *may* be possible if 
someone really can't have their part done by then).
