Lots of VHF/UHF activity coming up...
    1) 2 meter Fall Sprint tonight, 7-11pm. Spread the word,
get a ham buddy on have them observe. Here's the rules:
http://www.svhfs.org/fall_sprint_rules_2009.pdf
If it helps someone new get motivated, I have a good
post at my website with 6 reasons why sprints are fun. Direct
link is at http://kc9bqa.com/?p=953
I will be on for the sprints tonight and hope to work
many of you, time and propagation permitting.

    2) A region-wide 222 activity night has started in EN91 and
EN82 with KC8QAE and N8WNA on at 8:30pm central or
0130 utc.
Everybody is welcome to join in so let's start getting busy
on Tuesday nights on or near 222.100 MHz at 7,8,9pm --
whenever you can join in is good.
This is not a formal net. It's a reason to get on and enjoy
222 outside of contests. Our hope is that many stations get
on and call CQ, and reach out in many directions.
I am available this Tuesday and look forward hearing some
other signals.
Here's a direct link to the email I received from KC8QAE
telling me to spread the word about this 222 activity:
http://kc9bqa.com/?p=950

Remember that the 222 Fall Sprint is Tuesday night,
Sept. 29th, so it's a great time to get motivated on 222.

    3) I sent out a detailed email Friday about WB9LYH
Mark, in EN54 -- middle of Wisconsin -- taking over most
of the 144.240 net duties. Hopefully it'll start this Wed.
at the usual time, 7:15pm central or 0015 utc. What this
means is that anyone in W IL, MO, KS, IA, MN, U.P. of MI
and possibly also NE, Dakotas and VE-land will hear a lot
more activity now on 144.240 on Wednesdays. Please make
plans to get on and support this net, and enjoy WB9LYH's
big signal.
I am not abandoning nets in any way, shape or form.
I will still send out reminder emails for all of my nets. The
only difference you guys out to the SW, W, NW and N
should notice is that it will be a lot easier to work WB9LYH
than me.
The 144.250 early net for IN/MI/OH at 7:30pm
eastern or 2330 utc remains unchanged. So does the
144.250 Badger Contesters net at 8:30pm central, or
0130 utc. I remain net control and those nets are doing
very well. Getting a lot of guys on VHF weekly.

There's your VHF/UHF announcements for the week.
       73,
       Todd KC9BQA EN63ao 40 N of Milwaukee
