As most of you know, Microwave Update 2009 will be hosted by the North Texas
Microwave Society (NTMS) in Dallas in just six short weeks (October 22-25).
The conference is shaping up nicely---in fact, we are working hard to
figure out how to fit all of the excellent speakers in the schedule. At
present we have nineteen confirmed speakers on a wide range of topics (see
below). Before the conference, on Thursday, we will have the famous Dallas
Surplus Tour with stops at Fry's Electronics, CDC Products, Texas Towers,
Tanners Electronics, Harbor Freight, Altex Electronics, The Observatory, BG
Micro, and others. The surplus market in Dallas is like no other in the US.
In the two commercial areas we will have Downeast Microwave, Hangar 18
Surplus, TESCO, FlexRadio Systems as well as other local microwave vendors.

We are working with the hotel to ensure that there is room for everyone at
the $89 rate, but it helps us significantly to have your reservations sooner
rather than later. The official cutoff is September 21st, but there are
other activities in the hotel and getting your reservation in early ensures
that you have a room. To make a reservation, just follow this link:

http://bit.ly/rnsep

or you can visit the Microwave Update website at
http://www.microwaveupdate.org and follow the links from there.

We are also working to get the registration website online to register for
the conference, itself, and will send out a note about this shortly, but for
now the key is to have your travel and lodging tied down.

We look forward to seeing you in Dallas in a few weeks!

73,
Steve, N5AC
