Hi Guys

Before I post this on the SoftRock reflector .......

My SoftRock 40m/30m 1 watt V6.2RxTx transceiver has set "surplus" too long. This QRP SDR has it's center frequency xtal controlled at 7.056Mhz for 40m and 10.125Mhz for 30m. Depending upon the quality of the STEREO soundcard in your computer, operation is possible +/- 48kc or +/-24kc of that center frequency.

Mode of operation depends upon only the SDR software used. Given the frequency range of this unit, I would recommend Rocky (except for Vista users). Rocky has CW and integrated PSK31 RxTx. Note a serial port is required for TX keying. For receive only, no serial connection is required.

If you enjoy QRP and would like try low cost SDR you might consider this unit. I have invested about $45 plus postage. You can see a photo at http://www.qth.net/k0awu/4030SDR.html
