Hello BCers and NLRSers,

Another Friday, so another Update to the Logs Received status
for the UHF Test (but this will be the last one for 2009!).

The ARRL Logs Received Report ended up showing "222 logs
received" for the UHF Contest and has been at that number since
Tuesday "late"...THIS morning, I discovered that "Claimed
Scores" had been revealed.

There are three of what I am calling 'dupe' logs AND I am
excluding the log by "N0NE" that I think is a 'bogus' or
otherwise erroneous submission (possibly by W1RZF since I can
now see that everything is the "same" for N0NE and W1RZF, except
callsign BUT including Club and Claimed Score).

That leaves 218.

Club Competition - While a total of 39 Clubs are represented by
the Club Names listed, only 12 exceeded the minimum of three for
being included in the copetition. This *may* increase if some of
the paper logs are assigned to clubs that would have them reach
the threshhold. It is ALSO interesting that 140 of the 218 logs
listed a Club Name...that's darn near 2/3 of the logs listing a
Club!

The count of logs for NLRS is now 'solidly' at TWENTY-NINE
(thanks to Charlie's response to my note in last Friday's
update) and looks like it will be NLRS for the highest count of
logs from any club. My Spreadsheet shows a total club aggregate
of just over 3/4 Million but no "Claimed Scores" are shown for
KC0OIA/R, KM0T, W0IS/R, W0ZQ or WA2VOI/R. Jon DID post to 3830,
listing 185,592, and Donn posted 1,704 to the reflector so that
gets the NLRS aggregate to about 950,000. Did Mike post a
"claim"? I'm also not seeing any 'Claims for the Clems'
anywhere.

No sign, either, of any entry by the Mount Greylock
Expeditionary Force, W2SZ/1, and no 'news' on the mgef.org web
site (even regarding 2009 June where it appears they DID enter),
so the W0AUS Multi-Op score should "stand" as Multi-Op Top Score
for this year's August UHF. Congrats to Rich, Tom, Paul, Ron and
Dave (I *hope* I got everyone, apologies if I missed an
operator). Not to mention that their achievement would not have
been possible without everyone who was "out there" for them TO
make QSOs with!

Badger Contesters' log count is now FIFTEEN ON the Logs
Received report (though BC also has 1 'singular' Contester as
opposed to Contester_s_ as NLRS had a Light as opposed to
Light_s_, hopefully Sean/the log checker/whoever compiles the
club totals will be lenient). In addition, W9FZ/R's paper log
has been committed to BC for 16. Thanks to Todd. KC9BQA, for
"rousting" a few additional logs and I believe also getting a
member to resubmit their log WITH the club name listed. It looks
like BC will be #2 in log count. Adding Bruce's 'claim' to those
that are visible for BC puts BC right at about 400,000.

The Southern California Contest Club now has ELEVEN entries on
the report (though I am crediting a mispelling of 'Califirnia').
With the claimed Scores now revealed, I am seeing slightly over
2.8 Million for their aggregate so that will probably allow them
to claim the gavel for Medium club.

The remaining clubs (with three or more logs) are:
      Contest Club Ontario
      FLORIDA WEAK SIGNAL SOCIETY
Mt Airy VHF Radio Club, Inc.
      North East Weak Signal Group
      Northern California Contest Club
      Pacific Northwest VHF Society
      Potomac Valley Radio Club
      Raritan Bay Radio Amateurs
      SOCIETY OF MIDWEST CONTESTERS
      Stoned Monkey VHF ARC

And HOW ABOUT THAT SIXTY-SIX logs from Rovers!!! Over 30% of
218, 40 "classic" Rovers, 23 Limited and 3 Unlimited. 140
Single-Op logs (split 91 Low Power and 49 High Power) and 12
Multi-Ops make up the rest.

Here are the logs for Badger Contesters of which I am aware
(along with 'claimed score' if I am aware of it):

(K0PG/R - R - 18,207) --went to SMC
K2YAZ - B - 31,155
K9ILT/R - R - 18,105
K9JCZ - A
K9JK - A - 48
K9JK/R - RL - 15,606
KC9BQA - A - 49,440
KC9JTL - A - 273
N9WU - A - 55
ND9Z - A - 3,150
W9FZ/R - R - 166,914 (paper)
W9GA - B - 15,696
W9HQ - A - 1,584
W9SNR/R - R - 69,948
WA9O/R - R - 11,466
WB8BZK/R - R - 20,826
WO9U - A - 3

The letter(s) following call sign are the Entry Class:
A = Single-Op Low Power
B = Single-Op High Power
R = Rover
RL = Limited Rover.

The ARRL Section breakdown remains very focused in the midwest
with Minnesota now at 25, but Illinois jumped up to MATCH
Minnesota at 25 and Wisconsin now at 16 (with one more 'paper
log' expected). Of the logs that are IN electronically, that
makes SIXTY-SIX of the 218 logs from just THREE ARRL Sections.

The Orange section remains at 9 entries,

Michigan, Sacramento Valley and Western Washington remain at 6
logs and have been joined by Eastern Massachusetts.

The list of Sections with 5 logs has grown as well, the previous
"fivers" of Georgia, North Texas, Virginia and Western
Massachusetts have been joined by Eastern Pennsylvania,
Maryland/DC, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Ontario and Western New
York.

Logs have been submitted from 47 U.S Sections as well as from
Ontario and Quebec.

73, JK
