Lots of fun both weekends thanks to the big effort from those on Buck
Hill, EN34IR, and my fellow rovers. The first weekend, despite the rain, we
made 14 stops on Saturday and 10 stops on Sunday. My best DX was Sunday
morning from EN23IG to K0KFC & W0LCP at Jim's house in EN35RJ. For most of
Sunday, by chance, our route had us pretty well lined up with Buck Hill
EN34IR, W0GHZ in EN34LX, and K0KFC in EN35RJ. Despite the rain, we were not
able to make any long haul RS contacts.

The weather for the second weekend was much more pleasant as once again
the fixed group was located on Buck Hill and the rover group traveled through
SE MN into NE Iowa. Although the weather was very nice, conditions on
Saturday were so-so, better on Sunday. Lots of QSOs were made in the 220 to
250 km range, most on SSB, with the longest distance that weekend 306km
from EN32UP to KFC in EN35RJ. And although power helps (a lot) I was able to
make contacts with K0CQ, EN34IR, who was running 100mw, from each stop
albeit sometimes CW was needed.

Calls worked were: N0KP, KC0IYT, WA2VOI, K0KFC, W0LCP, N0HJZ, KC0P, N0HZO,
W0GHZ, WA0SSN, KB0OZN, K0TAR, KM0T, W0JT, W9FZ, WB0LJC, K0HAC, N0UK,
WA0RSE, N0EDV, N0AKC, K0FQA, K0CQ, and KB0MNK.

Thanks to "Big Dish" Dave, N0KP, for leading the efforts on The Hill,
thanks to EDV and CQ who traveled some distance to operate from The Hill, my
fellow rovers whom made the trip that much more fun, and all those who
strived to get on and make some Q's from wherever they were.

73, Jon
