Hi,
Neither WB9LYH nor I will be available Nov. 25th for net
control duty. So it's time for you fine VHF'ers to freelance it.
On a typical net night, we hear from a combined 30-40 guys.
It would be a shame to see all that potential wasted just because
Mark and I aren't around. In fact, if 30-40 guys from multiple
states got on and called CQ any ol' night, we wouldn't need to
call nets. There would be enough activity.
If you want to play radio, then get on and call CQ. There
should be plenty of guys out there, from 0100 on. There may
be a few up near 144.240, or they may migrate down around
144.200. Be a good guy and let anyone on 144.240 at 0100
or 144.250 at 0230 know that the net is off. I know some
don't read email or check the website.
I expect everything will be back to normal next week.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I'm grateful that the
bands are livelier than they were 12 months ago.

PS: W9NHE should have a dipole and 100 watts from his
portable location up at deer camp on the WI/Upper MI border.
We're not sure if he'll be in EN55 or EN56. But he's supposed
to be on board Wed. night so hope a few of you find him.
