[NLRS] Rovermania !

The ARRL UHF contest, aka Rovermania !, is a month away, August 1-2.? Remember that this contest starts at 1:00 pm local (1800z) on Saturday and runs until 1:00 pm on Sunday - its only a 24 hr contest.?? Last year was a really fun event with some nice tropo Saturday evening out ahead of the big storms that rumbled through on Sunday.?? What will propagation bring this year ?? 

We have a few goals that we are looking at.? First, can we push this event over 200 logs ?? Last year we came ever so close with 194 logs.? The second goal is the gavel - yes, for the first time since the introduction of this contest there is a club competition.? Can NLRS win its first gavel, can we bring home the bacon ??? We are well position to give it a go, but we need you and your log, so mark August 1 -2 on your calendar & plan to get on.

Regarding "getting on", we are planning two activity?hours to try to concentrate our efforts locally.? The first activity hour is 6:00 to 7:00 pm Saturday and the second is noon to 1:00 pm on Sunday (the end of the contest).? If you can only get on for a limited time, try to pick this time.?? We will also be rousting up FM activity - 223, 446, etc - so talk this up with your local FM club too.

Last, we are looking for rovers - big rovers, little rovers, and all those inbetween.?? We have plans from W0ZQ/R, WA2VOI/R, W9FZ/R, K0MHC/R, and KA0IYT/R.? Who else want to come out and play ?? Activate a grid or two, one band or two, or activate ten grid - whatever you want to do.? Rovers really stimulate activity and its a lot of fun for all.
