[NLRS] 2009 ARRL EME Contest - Updated rules have been posted

Hello NLRS land.   
 
One more email as long as I am burning up bandwidth.  The ARRL  has posted 
updated rules for the 2009 EME contest.  You can find these  rules at 
http://www.arrl.org/contests/rules/2009/eme.html  .
 
The most significant change is around the elimination of the assisted class 
 (see rule 6.3) for the bands below 2.3 GHz.  After discussion, the ARRL's  
PSC adopted the VUAC's recommendation for this change - it was a long and  
grinding process from start to finish.   Because of the  passion around 
these rules, the VUAC did establish a "White Paper" that outlines  our data 
collection and thought process behind these changes - should anyone  want a copy 
of this paper just drop me a note off-reflector and I can provide a  MS 
Word copy for you.  Sean, KX9X, has indicated that he will also be  writing a 
1/2 page article in QST towards this end as well.
